Doing an internship in Portugal with minimal Portuguese skills: Is it possible/realistic?

Boa tarde todos,

I’m an architecture student from Germany and I plan on doing an internship abroad between my bachelor and master degree. I’d love to go to Portugal, however I have only completed a basic Portuguese language class (A1) so I wouldn’t consider myself fit at all to speak Portuguese in a professional setting. Is it in any way realistic that an architecture firm would consider me for an internship if they could only communicate in English with me (at least for now)? I’m not really knowledgeable about the general English speaking proficiency of Portuguese people…

Any help/tips is greatly appreciated!
